If you don't see updated Apple iCloud data in your uKnowKids Dashboard (including text messages, iMessages, calls, etc...), 99% of the time the problem is due to the fact that your child's mobile device had not backed up to Apple iCloud before our last auto sync/update process.
uKnowKids cannot physically access any data that is newer than this Apple iCloud Backup date/time.
The good news is that uKnowKids makes it very simple for you to know the date and time of your child's last Apple iCloud Backup. You can find this information on the iCloud card on the Update Status page of the uKnowKids Dashboard.
If your child's mobile device is not backing up to Apple iCloud every night as expected, please make sure that...
- Apple iCloud Backups are enabled on the child's Apple mobile device. Settings App >> iCloud >> Backup enabled
- The child's Apple mobile device is turned on at night.
- The child's Apple mobile device is connected to WiFi at night.
- The child's Apple mobile device is connected to a power source at night.
In addition, we make it very easy for you initiate a manual sync/update process between uKnowKids and Apple iCloud if there is a recent Apple iCloud Backup that is not yet reflected in the uKnowKids Dashboard.
You can simply click on the Run Manual Update button that is located on the iCloud card on the Update Status page. It is that simple!
We created the Run Manual Update feature, so that you NEVER have to wait for the uKnowKids auto sync/update processes to run.
You have 100% control and you can initiate an update whenever you choose to do so.
Again, go to the Update Status page, and click on the Run Manual Update button.
